Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Carved by Claremont! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and the services we provide. By accessing or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Exchanges

All of my pieces are one off designs, therefore I can't offer an alternative size. Please ensure the size is correct before placing your order. If you're unsure about your ring size, check out my ring size guide or you can always visit your local jeweller to find out before placing your order. If you have purchased a one off piece that doesn't fit, you can check with your local jeweller if they can resize it for you.

If you would like to exchange your item for another in the shop please send me a message so I can arrange the exchange or a store credit. You must return the ring within 7 days of receiving the piece and the credit/exchange will be processed once it has been received back to me. I recommend sending it back to me with insurance cover - its only a few dollars extra, and I am not responsible for any lost parcels in transit back to me.

Warranty

I offer a free 12 month Manufacturing Warranty on all pieces from the date of purchase. Products deemed faulty due to a manufacturing defect may be repaired, refunded or recreated by Carved by Claremont at no cost. I only ask that you cover the cost of returning the piece/s to me.

If you deem your piece to contain a manufacturing warranty, please contact me with photos of the piece, along with your order number/proof of purchase.

The following is not deemed manufacturing error, and will not be covered under the 12 month Warranty:

  • Theft or loss

  • Dents, abrasions, or scratches on settings due to everyday wear.

  • Chips, scratches, nicks, or breakages on gemstones due to accidents or wear.

  • Pits or holes in settings from exposure to corrosive chemicals.

  • Discoloration of metals from chemicals, makeup, chlorine exposure, or bathing.

  • Normal wear leading to metal wear down, requiring restoration.

  • The Warranty is void if jewellery is serviced by any jeweller other than Carved by Claremont.

Lost/missing item

In the event that your item has been lost by the postal system, I will remake your item once Australia Post has declared it lost/missing. If the item is something that can’t be remade we will discuss other options. These will be dealt with case by case. Unfortunately I cannot refund lost or missing items. I have upheld my side of the transaction by making and sending your item.

In such case, please to contact me with your order number and I will lodge an enquiry on behalf of you - this process is much faster with AusPost as I am the sender of the parcel.

Confidentiality

Carved by Claremont respects the confidentiality of any information shared during the design process or any services. We will not disclose any confidential information without your consent, except where required by law.

Terms and Conditions

Terms & Conditions can be updated when we so choose and continued use of the website means that the user accept the terms.

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website or services. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you may not access or use our website.

Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including logos, graphics and images is the property of Carved by Claremont and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not use, reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without our explicit permission.

Custom Orders

Your custom order enquiry will be reviewed and approved if your design is within my capability and matches the aesthetic. If we are arranging a custom not from my custom stones catalogue you will be sent a quote once all the design details have be finalised and approved. You will then be required to make a 50% non-refundable deposit before I can start creating the piece. This amount will then be taken off your final price. You must ensure you have given me the right size, as custom pieces cannot be resized or exchanged. 

A piece may take up to 3-6 weeks to complete depending on the design. Once completed, you will be sent photos of the finalised piece and final payment requested. 

Client Responsibilities

When entering into a project agreement with Carved by Claremont you agree to provide accurate information and timely feedback throughout the design process. This includes providing necessary content, materials, and approvals as requested.

Due to the nature of custom pieces, these are ineligible for returns or refund.

Payment

Payment terms for custom orders will be outlined in our project agreement. A deposit may be required before work begins, and full payment is due upon project completion. Failure to make payment may result in the suspension or termination of services.

Returns

At Carved by Claremont, we prioritise customer satisfaction and handle returns on a case-by-case basis.

Order changes/cancellations must be requested within 7 days of purchase. Returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving your piece to initiate the process.

Carved by Claremont will not be held responsible for refunds or returns due to the customer having a change of mind. Craved by Claremont does not offer exchanges due to pieces being purchased on a 'custom' / 'made to order' basis. 

Carved by Claremont Return & Refund policies does not cover:

  • One of a kind pieces / final sale pieces

  • Theft or loss

  • Dents, abrasions, or scratches on settings due to everyday wear.

  • Chips, scratches, nicks, or breakages on gemstones due to accidents or wear.

  • Discoloration / wear of metals from corrosive chemical exposure

  • Normal wear leading to metal wear down

If you are wanting to return your item, it must be in the same condition it arrived in, unworn and undamaged. Earrings may not be returned due to hygiene reasons.

Limitation of Liability

Carved by Claremont will not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use our website or services. We strive to provide accurate and reliable information, but we cannot guarantee the completeness or accuracy of our content.

Terminations

Carved by Claremont reserves the right to terminate or suspend your access to our website or services at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever. Upon termination, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions will still apply.
